Certified Educational Robot Training
Frequently Asked Questions
I have never worked with an industrial robot, how will I be able to teach students? |
The Certified Education Robot Training will teach you how to use and program the robot. FANUC Robotics wants to make sure that you know how to use the robot and how to teach others to use it. Each teacher and school will decide how to integrate the robot training into their curriculum. |
How can I use it in the classroom? |
The CERT cart is specifically designed for education classroom and lab use. It fits through a standard doorway and uses heavy duty casters for flexible placement. The CERT cart is self contained and uses standard 110v power. Simply plug the robot and compressor power in and start using the cart. |
What can it do? |
The lessons and curriculum integration is largely up to the teacher and school. The 6 axis robot and Roboguide simulation software can used to teach basic to advanced robotic automation concepts and demonstrate applied math and science. For example a series of lessons and exercises could involve programming the robot to draw circles, squares and rectangles of various sizes and positions. This could be combined with studying equations and relationships of geometry. |
What do you mean by a real industrial robot? |
The LRMate 200iC and M-1iA are industrial robots and not a limited use education device. Everything the student learns is directly applicable to using robots in industry. Students and teachers have limited time and they can combine academics while learning a valuable technical skill. |
How do I get started? |
