Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student can identify components of a vision system, more specifically:

• Visual tracking cell equipment overview
• Setup the visual tracking line including the work area
• Setup the line tracking frame and encoder scale
• Set boundaries
• Calibrate the camera in conjunction with the conveyor
• Create a vision process
• Setup the track sensor
• Review robot programs typically used for iRVisual Tracking
• Test and debug the system
  

Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all training exercises. In addition to presentations and demonstrations, this course offers a series of lab exercises for the student to complete. Lab exercises relate directly to the classroom presentations and are intended to reinforce what the student has learned through actual hands-on experience.

Audience: This course is intended for the person who must install, set up, program, and troubleshoot a iRVvision Line Tracking system using FANUC Robots equipped with iRVision.

Prerequisites: iRVision 2D, and HandlingTool, SpotTool, ArcTool or DispenseTool Operation and Programming, although an understanding of Advanced HandlingTool Programming would be preferred.
