ArcTool Operation and Programming

The course covers the tasks and procedures that an operator, technician, engineer or programmer needs to set up and program a FANUC Robotics ArcTool Software Package.
Course Code: J2P0410
Course Objectives: Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Safely power up the robot from a complete shutdown
- Manipulate the robot using the teach pendant
- Setup and test robot movement parameters for a given work cell and torch
- Setup ArcTool for specific weld applications
- Create and test weld programs for a given weld task
- Edit weld programs in teach mode
- Setup and save to file management devices
Manipulate I/O in program logic and real logic
- Master and calibrate the robot
- Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all training exercises.
The course consists of lectures, demonstrations, and a series of lab exercises designed to reinforce what the student has learned.
In addition to lab exercises, a pretest and posttest are used to measure mastery of objectives.
Audience: This course is intended for the person who must set up and record a program on a R-J, R-J2, or R-J3 controlled robot with an ArcTool software package.
