Robot picks and packs 108 AA batteries per minute |
|
| |
A four-axis, FANUC M-1iA robot picks and packs AA batteries. The M-1iA is a lightweight and compact, parallel-link robot (also known as a delta robot) available in a four or six-axis model designed for small part handling, high-speed picking, packing, and assembly applications. The robot’s high speed operation and range of motion is demonstrated as it picks 108 batteries per minute. A single-axis wrist on the 4-axis model offers speeds up to 3000 degrees per second. The M-1iA’s flexibility and speed far exceed the capabilities of SCARA-type robots in similar applications. |
