Boxes are directed and funneled toward a FANUC Robotics M-410iB palletizing robot through a multiple conveyor system. Once they reach the end of the conveyor system, they are split into two rows in preparation for palletizing. The M-410iB with its multi-zone end of arm tooling picks eight boxes eight at a time, and stacks them in alternating rows. The palletizing continues until the boxes are stacked to specification. When a pallet reaches capacity, it is removed by conveyor, and an empty pallet is automatically fed to the robot. While the boxes stack into groups of four on one conveyor, the M-410iB palletizes boxes from a second conveyor, increasing throughput. The M-410iB has a long reach, allowing for simultaneous multiple line palletizing. Its heavy payload gives it the versatility needed to process heavy payload palletizing and depalletizing operations.
