Packaging handles attached to bottles |

In this automated system, molded plastic handles are accurately applied to large beverage containers. The containers are delivered to 2 LR Mate 200iC robots in open-top cases typical of club store displays. The 5-axis LR Mate 200iC robots pick handles from magazines and apply them to the containers. The system was engineered using FANUC Robotics’ PickPRO™ simulation software. PickTOOL™ application software coordinates the 2 robots to ensure handles are applied to all containers. The robots apply a light pressing motion to ensure proper seating of the molded handles. iRVision is used to find the location and orientation of the container caps. |
