FANUC Robotics vision-guided robots are the most technologically advanced robots in their class. FANUC Robotics vision guided series adds intelligence to robot systems that require a high degree of flexibility. FANUC Robotics machine vision systems provide the precise object location and orientation data to accommodate a wide range of 2-D and 3-D robot guidance applications. In addition to guidance, the vision software also provides a range of part identification, inspection and measurement tools that handle many other common machine vision tasks.
The vision guided machines are user friendly and do not require any custom programming. Each robot has a unique graphical interface, which simplifies system setup and operation. The specialized vision and application tools include multiple calibration methods and high speed, built-in Ethernet communication. FANUC machine vision systems provide solutions for machine loading, material handling, visual tracking (linear or circular) and packing, depalletizing, assembly, racking or de-racking of panels and frames and verification and measurement.
The visual-linear tracking system is useful when sorting non-fixture parts on moving conveyors, placement of non-fixture parts onto moving conveyors, and scanning of stationary parts with a moving camera mounted to the end-of-arm tool. The progressive scan camera provides blur-free part images that allow accurate past offset at high conveyer speeds, continuous imaging feature, that eliminates the need for separate part detection switch, and the standard FANUC encoder provides accurate pulse count for reliable linear or circular tracking.
