In this video courtesy of Koops Automation, a high speed robotics assembly cell fashions multi-gang household and commercial electrical boxes. The robotic cell features two FANUC LR Mate 200iC 6-axis robots. The robots receive parts from an injection molding press. The first FANUC LR Mate, equipped with iRVision, locates the incoming parts from an infeed conveyor. The infeed robot picks up an electrical box and places it in an automated assembly station, which inserts mounting nails to correct depth. A second outfeed robot presents the completed assembly to an auto-labeler and places completed parts on the outfeed conveyor. The outfeed robot automatically rejects bad parts. This system is completely reconfigurable and can be used to produce a variety of products.
