FANUC Robots Demonstrate Coordinated Robotic Spot Welding |
|
| |
Multiple robots work together in the welding cell material handling and welding parts. A FANUC R-2000iB robot transfers a sheet metal stamping to a fixture. Multiple R-2000iB robots equipped with servo controlled welding guns demonstrate coordinated spot welding. Multiple robot control allows dual robots and spot welding guns to work on the same part, increasing throughput. A material handling R-2000iB transfers the part to the next station. In this station three R-2000iB robots equipped with servo controlled welding guns demonstrate coordinated spot welding.

R-2000iB Robot
- The R-2000iB offers high dynamics with a large work envelope and legendary reliability, making it ideal for all spot welding applications
- The R-2000iB offers integrated spot welding equipment dressout, with a common teach pendant user interface, and enhanced performance through servo control.
- The slim arm of the R-2000iB and compact footprint allows for increased robot density, increasing throughput.
- Compact size and ability to flip over and work behind itself maximizes flexibility for work cell design, and saves valuable floor space.
- Large allowable wrist moments and inertias meet a variety of heavy handling challenges.
- Non-rotating forearm simplifies hose and cable dressout increasing service life.
- Proven, reliable FANUC servo drives provide highest uptime and productivity.
- Longer maintenance intervals equate to lower operating costs.
- Fewer mechanical components reduce down time, increase mean time between failure (MTBF) and minimize spare part requirements.
- High-performance motion yields fast cycle times and high throughput.
- IP67 rated wrist/forearm.
