Q

We have older model robots. Does FANUC Robotics America support older product classes?

A

Our Training Department supports our robot line to include older products (RC, RG and others). These courses are not regularly published in our training brochure, but may be requested through our training registrar.




Q

Does FANUC Robotics America support training in other languages?


A

Yes. Training at FANUC Robotics America is supported in other languages. Advance notice is required to coordinate for translation and interpreter support in the Rochester Hills facility. Additional fees may be required.

Our training facilities in Brazil and Mexico are also ready to support training for our customers in Central and South America.



Q

I cannot afford to lose time from work to attend training. What else is available?


A

Our Training Department will soon be introducing Computer Based Training Solutions. These courses, designed by specialized Instructional Designers, will provide our customers the opportunity to "attend," at their own pace, FANUC Robotics America's training.



Q

What information is needed to register for a class?


A

You will need to know the following in order to register for a course:

  • The type(s) of course(s) you need (i.e., Operations, Programming, Maintenance).
  • The FANUC Robot model for which you need training.
  • The type of controller (i.e., SYSTEM R-C, SYSTEM R-F KAREL, SYSTEM R-H KAREL, SYSTEM R-G/R-G2, SYSTEM R-J, SYSTEM R-J2, etc.)
  • The version of software you are using (i.e., HandlingTool, PaintTool, etc.)

You will also be asked to provide:

  • Your company name, mailing and billing address, and phone number.
  • The number of people and full names of those attending the class.
  • Contact phone and fax number.
  • A check or credit card number (Payment must be provided prior to attending class).

How can I pay for my training?


A

A valid purchase order (PO) or project number is needed to register for training. Payment may also be made by check or credit card.



Q

How will you customize classes to be taught just for my company?


A

We can help you with two types of programs: Customized Product Classes and Customized System Classes.

A. Customized Product Classes

FANUC Robotics America offers customized Product training courses for dedicated classes at our training facilities or at your on-site location.

This customization includes:

  • Detailed analysis of customer needs.
  • Customization of our Standard Product Classes.
  • Special training materials to address unique customer needs.

Custom product training packages are quoted on an as required basis. Job aids may also be quoted to further optimize training.

Customers with special training needs, requesting dedicated product classes, require scheduling at least 3 months prior to the date the training course(s) will be required. A needs analysis will be conducted to modify courses as required, and based on the results of the needs analysis.

Note: Additional development may be required to support peripheral equipment concerns.

B. Customized System Classes

The Training Department will support formal systems training. This training can only be conducted at the customer site. (See ON-SITE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS). Training may follow already developed courses (see Course Descriptions), or may be further tailored or customized to meet specific customer needs.

All systems specific training will incur a minimum development fee which will be used to create a site specific systems manual. No system training as described in our course descriptions will take place without formal development. Manual development will take an average of 7 weeks, more if a non-English language, or if it is to be delivered on alternative media. This time has to be factored in by the customer and the project manager in the overall project execution and support plan.

As an authorized Distribution Partner, what training options are available to me?


A

FANUC Robotics America offers dedicated training to authorized FANUC Robotics America Distribution Network members. For course availability contact our Training Registrar at (800) 47-ROBOT or send e-mail.

We reserve the right to cancel or modify

classes at any time.
